A joke company with a serious gripe: fake plants look too good. Not anymore. We make high-quality replicas of acceptable-quality plants. Because who would ever doubt a slightly browning plant?
With the help of my co-founders, I concepted the products, produced the video, created the website, and launched the Kickstarter. In a month, we racked up 100,000+ views across all channels, with many more impressions. We also caught the attention of Refinery29, Apartment Therapy, and… Casa Vogue Brazil??
Then, disaster struck—we hit our Kickstarter goal. What started as a joke ended as a lesson in product development, and oh so ironically, the 2 Week Vacation. Joke’s on us.
